About me

During my freshman and sophomore years at Dover-Sherborn, I embarked on a creative journey through ceramics courses, completing both Ceramics 1 and 2. This immersive experience allowed me to skillfully mold clay into intricate cartoon characters and handcraft elegant pots and bowls. Of all the art tools at my disposal, the pottery wheel stood out as a personal favorite.

Summer breaks at camp were synonymous with clay for me, as I dedicated a significant portion of my time to this medium. Upon transferring to Lawrence Academy, I expanded my artistic horizons by delving into photography during my sophomore year.

A pivotal moment came during a Winterum program, where I had the opportunity to explore watercolor painting under the guidance of a seasoned professional. Despite having limited prior experience with watercolors, I swiftly developed a passion for the medium, excelling in its application.

Recognizing my desire to delve further into the world of art, I enrolled in honors art during my junior year. This offered a rich tapestry of artistic forms, with a strong focus on watercolor and collages. Even when classes shifted online, I continued to nurture my creative spirit by producing a series of captivating cartoon watercolor pieces.

Art serves as a powerful muse, grounding me in the present and providing a channel to express my emotions. It's a source of solace, allowing me to find freedom in self-expression. Through art, I've discovered a profound sense of accomplishment and a means to connect with the world around me.
